WHAT IS THE HOMETOWN HERO BANNER PROGRAM?
The Thomasville Hometown Banner Program is a living tribute created for the community to recognize and honor Veterans who are serving or have served our country in the United States Armed Forces and First Responders. To qualify, a Veteran/First Responder living or deceased, must have lived in Thomasville, Alabama at some point in their life. The banner will be 24”x48” heavy vinyl, printed the same on both sides, will display the service person’s photograph, including their full name, branch of the military, and era of service (WWI, WWII, Vietnam, etc...). First Responders will include their full name and position and dates (Police Chief, Fire Chief, Officer, etc…). Banners will be displayed from the end of June through Veterans Day in November. Banners will be removed and stored until the same period in the following year at which time they will be re-displayed. There are limited spaces remaining!
WHAT DO WE NEED FOR A BANNER?
Each banner requires the Hometown Heroes form to be filled out, a photograph (high resolution if digital or 5x7 or larger print if possible) of the hero in uniform, and a payment of $130.00 payable to “Thomasville Alabama Chamber of Commerce”, memo “Hometown Hero”.
HOW TO PAY?
Checks can be brought by or mailed to the Thomasville Alabama Chamber of Commerce office at 138 Wilson Ave, Thomasville, Alabama 36784. If you would like to pay by card you may do so but there will be a service charge added to the $135.00 as well.

We are still accepting banner applications, as soon as your order arrives we will have the banner placed if it during the time frame they are displayed. All banners are in Downtown Thomasville along Wilson Avenue and W Front Street as of now.
